Our Team

Doug is the founder of Sentient and has over 30 years of experience in technical operation project delivery and management. His strengths are in customer relations and development as well as technical support.

Apolon has 35 years of experience in commercial software development, developing his first software game at the age of 14. He has been the chief developer for Sentient’s industrial automation software since its inception.

Chris is Sentient’s lead engineer and is one of its earliest team members. He is involved primarily with the implementation and support of current MacroView SCADA and HMI modules, IoT development and development of new projects.

Chris is an experienced developer who has been programming since he was 12 years old. He was hired by Sentient in 2014 for his detailed understanding of gaming engines at every level.

Catharine spent the first half of her career in academia where she gained an extensive knowledge of instructional design and its application to formal learning contexts. She has spent the latter half of her career helping small business in the areas of strategy, business improvement and commercial negotiations.

Mandy has a diverse background of Hospitality and Marketing. She has a passion for customer service and delivering open lines of communication.

Scott has been involved in the mining sector in Australia for over 15 years. Scott  provides project management support for both our training projects and Plan IT 3D shutdown planning product where he is involved in working with and supporting our clients to animate and visualise their shutdowns.

Sheina is experienced in Lean, project and change management. She has the capacity to get people on board with organisational changes, recognising and assisting those struggling to do things differently. She has a financial and administrative background and a degree in visual arts.

Leonie began working at Sentient in early 2011 as a 3D Artist. After a 2 year hiatus living in Tokyo, Japan, she returned to Sentient as Project Manager and Minister of Fun in 2017. As Project Manager, Leonie works closely with the development team to manage resources as well as working with and supporting our clients

Mark is an experienced 3D Artist who developed a strong interest in games development from a young age. In addition to his role at Sentient, he has also worked as the principal 3D Artist for a local game development company.

Alek is a programmer with over 15 years of experience in programming and C# .NET. He has provided innovative work for Sentient and its affiliate company Torq Software for several years.

Rieky has over 4 years of experience in professional software development at Torq Software. His skills include C# .NET, C and C++

Scott has a wide and varied background in project management, software development and elearning. Scott’s main focus is building our elearning packages along with his experience in photo, video and audio editing make him an invaluable addition and resource to the company.

Sharad is a Software Developer with 8 years of professional experience with C# and C++. He has developed and maintains a range of Sentient’s industrial automation software products.

Dave is a Systems Engineer with a career spanning over 25 years in the IT industry. In early 2014 Dave brought his technical abilities to the Sentient team.

Tom is a 3D artist who specialises in modelling, texturing, animation and design for 3D engines such as Unity. He has experience with multiple modelling and texturing software suites. With a keen interest in character and environmental design Tom brings a high level of quality to any project he works on.

Matt specialises in the design and development of the majority of our animated projects including 3D animation and modelling, elearning development and video editing. His strong background in design adds value to the design and development of our interactive and animated packages.

Steve is a 3D artist with over 10 years experience in the industry, Specialising in design, animation and motion graphics, Steve provides experience and expertise on our larger 3D projects specialising in telestrations and motion graphics.

Alric, a graduate of Murdoch University, is one of our Unity Developers, fluent in C++ and C#, HTML, CSS, Java, Javascript and .NET. He is helping to lead the way in our VR Development, specialising in problem solving and debugging code.

Madeleine comes from Canberra with a background in app development. Her skills include 3D animation, 3D modelling, motion graphics and video editing development, making her a dynamic and adaptable addition to the Sentient team.

Aden specialities involve debugging code, creating component systems and problem solving.  Aden’s main focus is working on current projects to link site features to real time visualisation.

Ali holds a masters Degree in Instrumentation and control engineering along with a proven experience of automation in process control industry. His area of interest also includes Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT) and embedded system development.

Ana is a professional Software Developer who has been working in this industry for the past six years.  She has knowledge and expertise in the full cycle of software development projects and optimised productivity.
