2009 has been an eventful year for Sentient, a wide range of exciting new developments are underway that may significantly increase the productivity of all MacroView users, this year has seen development begin on two new MacroView products, and the announcement of a new version of MacroView.

Users Group 2009

The 2009 Sentient Users Group ran over two days in the Swan Valley, on the first day a conference was held with almost 40 users and 13 presentations on a wide range of MacroView topics. On the second day a powerful interactive tech workshop was held to allow users to experience new MacroView technology.

Presentations covered methods to increase productivity on MacroView systems using a range of methods, and the users group was the first public showing of two all new MacroView technologies, as well as a demonstration of the updates in MacroView Version 5.

MacroView eXtreme

A brand new MacroView product, MacroView eXtreme, or MVX, is a 3-Dimensional plant overview and control system built on the Unity games development platform. MVX is the next generation in process control software, giving unprecedented levels of information in an easy, intuitive environment.

MacroView Version 5 (Coming Soon)

Version 5 features a new visualization layer that utilizes the latest in Vector based graphics technology. Coming soon, this extensive update to MacroView combines Microsoft’s Expressions Blend environment with the power of the WPF and Silverlight platforms. This enables visually engaging graphics without the size and resolution limitations of Bitmaps, these graphics are dynamic and scalable to all new levels. Sentient Computing’s website has seen some significant developments recently with the inclusion of a new, user customizable wiki, and the addition of a comment system to all news articles. We are trying to encourage MacroView User participation, so come check it out!
