MVX combines real and virtual data into a 3D environment, allowing you to visualise and understand your plant and operations better to increase production; reduce downtime; and improve safety and environmental impact.
MVX immerses you in a 3D virtual world as a means for presenting industrial automation and operational data to users, operators, managers or experts on the other side of the world. MVX leverages the fact we have powerful abilities to interpret information in 3D very rapidly.
Using MVX, operators can meet with colleagues inside the virtual plant. Although they may be sitting in offices in different parts of the world, they can discuss issues of concern, point to particular features and change settings and functions on plant equipment in real time. The savings in terms of time, travel costs and improved decision making, as well as the enhanced safety of minimising people on site, are significant.
Processing plants and factories are hazardous environments. This system can be used to induct new staff and make sure they are comfortable with the plant before being exposed to it in real life. Training and safety issues can be discussed with multiple users interacting with the plant at the same time. MVX also provides an excellent picture of those parts of operations which are hard to access or visualise, such as underground facilities, subsea pipelines or remote railway track.
MVX is a complimentary system to those currently being used within the plant. MVX overlays existing control systems, maintenance databases, engineering models, safety, ERP and other operating systems to display information in an interactive 3D environment. MVX can also use historic information to replay actual events for root cause analysis or to provide real-life scenarios for training.
MVX can integrate with existing MacroView servers and metadata connections, instantly adding value to a system already widely used in the coal, oil, gas, mining, production, transportation, environmental and power industries.
MVX displays site data in a radical new method where the user can view a plant or other industrial operation in a rich and detailed full-colour overview or, at the touch of a button instantly experience the site from a first person perspective, with full control over the virtual user movements. As plants have increased in size and complexity, DCS and SCADA systems have had to display significantly more information than a constrained 2D environment is capable of – and this 3D environment enables the display of a vast quantity of information in a way that is intuitive to any user.
