We’re proud to share that Sentient has been featured as the cover story in the latest edition of Resources Review, recognising our journey from a three-person start-up to a global digital solutions provider.
The article shares how we’ve grown into a 35-strong team of engineers, designers and digital specialists, now partnering with major industry players including Shell, BHP, Rio Tinto, Fortescue and Mineral Resources.
Our founder Doug Bester shared some insights into our approach:
“Our systems make it simple for personnel on the ground, operating from a remote-control centre or working in a city-based office to visualise plant and equipment in an immersive, interactive 3D environment and access critical operational data. This approach has transformed training, work planning and day-to-day operations, making them more engaging and effective than traditional methods.”
The article also highlights our focus on safety through immersive training. As Doug noted:
“Our immersive training empowers operators to master complex and high-risk tasks in a safe, virtual environment. This approach not only minimises risk exposure but also builds confidence and competence long before workers step onto the actual site.”
It’s incredibly rewarding to see our work acknowledged in this way. A huge thanks to Resources Review for sharing our story with the broader mining and industrial community. The full article is available via Resources Review (subscriber access required). Click here to view it.
